You don’t need to time how long it takes to find the answer key. You can stop the clock once the puzzle is done, before finding the answer key.

Round 5 is now finished. Thanks to Neil Zussman and David McNeill for testing. It turns out that a couple of the puzzles were harder than I was expecting. I hope you enjoyed them. Congratulations to Maurice on a fine victory, with especially fast times with the Four Winds, notably puzzle 10, which was completed faster than Sam. An incredibly close finish between Eva and Thomas, and Puzzle 20 did for two of our puzzlers.

Sam Cappleman-Lynes - 125 points - 26m20
Maurice Blount - 125 points - 51m18
Liane Robinson - 125 points - 54m31
Eva Myers - 125 points - 84m0
Thomas Powell - 125 points - 84m05
Jeff Dick - 101 points - 76m41
Paul Smith - 101 points - 117m10

The Division is very close, with one of Eva or Liane likely to take the title, but with a handful of players able to take over if they falter.

The final round is over the weekend of 15th and 16th May and features a lovely variety of Masyu written by David McNeill. I'll send an email when the instruction booklet is released.

Jeffery Dick - 500 points - 73m41
Thomas Powell - 440 points - 70m19

Congratulations Eva. I hope everyone enjoyed having the challenge of the league - we'll start a new season around September time.

Well done all, especially Eva. Some really good solving by everyone. I'm really looking forward to meeting more of you in person when we're able to hold our next open competition. In the meantime, I'm working on our annual UKPC competition which will be held in June - more details to be 'officially' announced shortly.
