Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
Luckily this coincides with my holidays and last year was great fun.
I'm seriously considering going again this year.
Anyone else going?

Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
I am seriously considering it
I'm not sure I'd be able to contribute an entire set by myself, but I'd be interested in co-authoring if anyone else is up for it?

I know Liane is definitely going, and I think Neil is also seriously considering it too
Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
I've booked my tickets now, so I'm definitely in! I'm arriving late Thursday and therefore will have a lot of spare time on Friday, if anyone else is around? I'm tempted by the logical live-action game thing mentioned on the facebook page...
Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
If I do go, I'll definitely join a team at the Budapest's exit-game.
Speaking of which, I went to the Escape Hunt Experience (a different franchise from the one in Hungary) with 2 other friends yesterday.
We annihilated the existing record of 38 minutes with our time of 27 minutes!
The puzzles weren't easy but I've been to two of their rooms before and sort of got the feel of what to look for and what not to look (and waste time) at.
According to their site there's one branch in London too.
I also learnt that the one I went to (Bangkok) was the original branch.

Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
As always a great competition with fantastic company. Thanks to everyone involved.
Just been looking at Tawan's minesweeper puzzle, that I'd "broken" in the competition, rubbed out and "broke" it again. Looking at it now I saw that I'd been given the points then realised that "30" was the points for the puzzle not the number of mines! - What else could I have solved with that wasted time - it wasn't even that late.

Re: 15th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship
Definitely considering joining this competition. It's a good thing I have no work on Saturday. I'll see what I can do, maybe we'll have one of those spontaneous meetings with my IT chums, uh, priorities, priorities...
